Description
The Mossburn Vintage Casks Whiskies are a collection of single malt Scotch whiskies, which are strictly limited and produced from selected casks. To highlight the unique and specific character of each single malt, only a limited number of bottles are produced. This Benriach whisky was bottled by Mossburn exclusively for Baur au Lac Vins at cask strength. The 11 years of maturation in PX (Pedro Ximénez) HHD give the Benriach a light and clear amber color. On the nose, the cask strength of 62.1% alcohol has a very positive effect on the complexity. This single malt captivates with aromas of dried fruits such as raisins, figs and dates, rounded off by roasted, nutty components, light chocolate as well as sweet notes that come from the PX cask aging. The palate is slightly smoky, accompanied by nougat notes and roasted chestnuts, leaving a warming mouthfeel. Intense and long finish, prepares enormous drinking pleasure!
