Description
This charming Volnay Premier Cru from the Robardelle vineyard is a top- quality Burgundy. Its intense floral-fruity aroma reveals flavours reminiscent of ripe cherries, velvety rose petals, pencil lead and mulberries, accompanied by a subtle animal note. From the very first sip, the wine is sensually captivating, with silky tannins, densely woven and juicy, elegant, red- fruity and wonderfully balanced. For its young age (rating from July 2024), this Pinot Noir is already extremely drinkable. Slightly chilled, it is a delight to drink, especially with venison with sour cherries and potato noodles, veal fillet or a briefly seared tuna fillet in a sesame crust. (SiKl)

The city of Beaune is the cultural and economic centre of Burgundy. The prestigious vineyard sites, stretching in a band from Santenay (located about 20 kilometres south of Beaune) to the village of Aloxe-Corton (five kilometres north of Beaune), form the Côte de Beaune. Legendary, uniquely expressive crus originate here. In fact, the most prestigious Chardonnay growths in the world are produced around Chassagne-Montrachet, Puligny-Montrachet and Meursault.
