Cognac Park Mizunara Borderies 12 years
Cognac Park Mizunara Borderies 12 years
Distillerie Tessendier & Fils, 700 ml
Description
This 12-year-old cognac is the perfect liaison between the savoir-faire of French cognac cellar masters, a Single Cru Borderies and the exotic aromas of the rare Japanese Mizunara oak. Its aromatic fragrance impresses with soft floral elements typical of a Borderies Cognac, reminiscent of acacia and violets. The nose is also enveloped by notes of nougat, sweet mango, quince and dried apricots. Smoky, spicy components are typical characteristics of the finish in the exclusive Mizunara oak barrel. On the palate, the cognac presents itself soft and round with a powerful expression. The Mizunara oak gives the cognac depth and a marriage of complex and spicy notes such as white pepper, liquorice, cinnamon and vanilla. A discovery for those who enjoy Japanese whisky or those who appreciate artisan cognacs. A noble gift (awarded with gold and silver medals) in a contemporary Japanese bottle. Serve it either at 18°C to enjoy its finesse and softness, or "on the rocks" if you want to discover its fresh side.

France – Philosophy in a bottle
According to French philosophy, wine should be an expression of the soil and climate. They use the word “terroir” to describe this. Terroir makes every wine different, and many especially good. French wine is regarded worldwide as an expression of cultural perfection. The French believe that humans are responsible for the quality of the berries, the vine variety for their character, and nature for the quantity. This philosophy can be expressed succinctly as: “the truth is the vineyard, not the man.”
