Truffle Gin, Black Summer Truffle 2021
Truffle Gin, Black Summer Truffle 2021
Edelbrandmanufaktur Wilhelm Marx, Deutschland, 500 ml
Description
The basis of this truffle gin is the classic Bayern Dry Gin by Wilhelm Marx. After distillation, this is macerated again with black summer truffles to give the gin a unique variety of aromas. At first, you notice nuances of forest floor, lemon zest and a little juniper on the nose. On the palate, these earthy aromas of forest intensify and combine with the unmistakable taste of fresh truffle. Full-bodied and at the same time creamy with a slight spiciness in the finish. This gin was created in collaboration between Dr Rudolf K. Sprüngli (Board of Directors Lindt and Sprüngli and Chairman Trufo Group) and Wilhelm Marx.

Germany – Into the elite the hard way
Sitting in the heart of Europe, the hilly, lake-dotted landscape of Germany provides ideal, fertile soil for the most diverse vine varieties. From Albalonga to Zweigelt, over 140 different grape varieties are grown on about 100,000 acres, cared for by nearly 50,000 vintners. Most of these vintners are young, modern, internationally trained, inquisitive and urbane. It is hardly surprising, then, that German wine has a good reputation well beyond the country's borders.
