Winery of the Year - Paladin Italy
Lake Garda, Venice and Verona - these places sound like easy-going holidays, good food, the best wines and dolce far niente. The Paladin winery is located in this dream region, on the border between Veneto and Friuli and just an hour's drive from Venice.
Nothing makes us revel like the dolce vita of our southern neighbour. These people have quite simply invented pleasure. This is also true when it comes to wine: hardly any other country offers so much choice, quality and enjoyment in bottles – our Winery of the Year 2025/2026 is the best proof of this.
The Paladin family business was founded in 1962. Valentino Paladin laid the first stone, today his children Carlo and Roberto run the business. In 2013, the Paladin family launched another wine adventure. Under the name Casa Lupo, they began producing Amarone and Ripasso in Valpolicella, adding two jewels among Italy's top wines to their portfolio.
