A true original: the Marolo distillery has reconstructed the vermouth recipe created by pharmacist Domenico Ulrich in 1854. It uses wine and botanicals from Piedmont and browned sugar instead of the caramel colouring commonly used today. Full-bodied, lively and rich. It owes its bitter notes to cinchona bark and hyssop; its intense colour and balsamic notes come from maturing in wooden barrels. A noble meditation vermouth, particularly suitable for the end of a dinner.
