Cidre Bohnapfel 2023
Cidre Bohnapfel 2023
Wolfshalden Appenzell Ausserrhoden, Cidrerie A. Heftig, 750 ml
Description
Lively cider with character
A new interpretation of the classic cider apple: The Grosse Rheinische Bohnapfel from the organic Bleichehof farm in Wolfhalden (Appenzell Ausserrhoden) is fermented spontaneously – without any additives or sulphur. Voilà: the result is a wonderfully lively cider.
Fine yeast notes, clear apple aromas and a hint of wildness on the nose. Juicy on the palate, fine bubbles, dry and with a subtle acidity. A cider that not only refreshes, but immediately makes you want to take another sip.
Goes well with strong cheese, fried fish, tarte flambée – or simply on its own, well chilled.

Switzerland
Switzerland – A small country with enormous diversity
Switzerland is famous for its banks, watches, and cheese, but not necessarily for its wine. The Swiss didn't invent wine, but they have been extremely open and curious to it. Wine culture arrived in what is now modern Switzerland via several routes: from Marseilles to Lake Geneva and the Lower Valais region; from the Aosta Valley through the Great St. Bernard Pass to the rest of Valais; from the Rhone through Burgundy, across the Jura Mountains to Lake Constance; and from Lombardy to Ticino, and then on to Grisons.
