Famille Perrin
Nestled amongst the rolling hills of Correns, Château Miraval is now one of Provence’s best-known wine estates. This historic estate combines the beauty of the South of France with a clear vision for modern, high-quality rosé wines, and has gained international renown thanks to Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie.
In partnership with the renowned Perrin family, whose Château de Beaucastel ranks among France’s most prestigious estates, Miraval has become one of Provence’s most sought-after producers of rosé. Today, Brad Pitt remains associated with the estate, whilst the Perrin family, drawing on their decades of expertise, continues to shape the style and quality of the wines.
The vineyards benefit from a Mediterranean climate with plenty of sunshine and the cooling Mistral wind. Limestone and clay soils, together with the location around Correns, create ideal conditions for fresh and expressive wines. The main grape varieties grown are the typical Provençal varieties Grenache, Cinsault, Syrah and Rolle, which lend the wines their elegance, finesse and aromatic expressiveness.
Miraval embodies a modern Provençal style: elegant and aromatic wines with plenty of freshness and subtle minerality. The rosés, in particular, delight with their lightness and sophistication, combining the relaxed way of life of the South of France with a touch of Hollywood.
