Description
Founded in 1896 in Speyside, the Aultmore distillery is famous for producing a robust, rich and fragrant whisky. These rather heavy malts are perfect for oloroso sherry maturation, which is why the 9-year maturation took place entirely in this first fill cask. This influence is already noticeable in the nose and presents itself with strong aromas of roasted coffee, sultanas and bourbon biscuits. Wonderfully balanced on the palate with flavours of dark dark chocolate, cinnamon and coconut shavings, this Aultmore ends in a spicy-sweet finish.
