Glissade

Glissade is a Catalan winery in the renowned Penedès wine region, dedicated entirely to the production of high-quality cavas. This region is one of Spain’s most traditional sparkling wine regions and is internationally renowned for its refined, elegantly structured cavas.

The Penedès region is characterised by a Mediterranean climate with warm, sunny days and mild nights, which ensure that the grapes ripen slowly and evenly. These climatic conditions play a key role in ensuring that the wines retain their characteristic freshness and lively acidity. The often chalky soils impart a distinctive character to the grapes, which is later reflected in the structure, elegance and finesse of the cavas.

Today, the winery draws on the experience and expertise of oenologist Manel Martínez. Thanks to his commitment and dedication, he succeeds in crafting characterful cavas with finesse and expression from indigenous grape varieties such as Xarel·lo, Parellada and Macabeo – ranging from fresh, charming classics to fruity, lively rosé versions made from red grapes such as Monastrell, Garnacha and the local Trepat. Throughout this process, Glissade remains steadfastly true to the traditional method of cava production: the second fermentation takes place in the bottle, and disgorging is carried out by hand. The result is a quality that can be tasted in every single bottle.
